Dublin High School Hockey Association

Justin Taber is in his first year as the Head Coach for the Dublin Coffman Rocks hockey program. Justin grew up in Columbus, Ohio playing for the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets in the earliest years of the program. After concluding play for AAA Blue Jackets, Justin played Jr. A hockey for the Brockville Braves where we went to the Canadian National Championships in his second season. Justin continued his hockey career at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Since moving back he feels fortunate to be have been able to coach a number of local teams and he’s looking forward to his first year with the Rocks! When Justin is not at the rink, he is a local realtor for Re/Max and enjoys playing men’s league hockey with the old teammates that he grew up playing with. Justin feels hockey has helped him to develop not only athletic abilities but it also has shaped the way that he competes and tackles challenges in school, work, and life. “I look forward to the opportunity to pass on the lessons I have learned with the Rocks players.”

Grant Woods is a Columbus native and started playing hockey at the age of 8. Grant played AAA hockey most of his youth career for the Ohio AAA Junior Blue Jackets, but at 15 years old helped build the first varsity hockey team at Olentangy Liberty High School. Grant played Varsity hockey there for four years, obtaining the rookie of the year award his freshman year, and making an appearance at the final four of the state tournament. Outside of hockey Grant is also an avid lacrosse player. He began playing lacrosse when he was 14 years old because he heard the game was played much like hockey. He feels playing both sports growing up helped him build his gameplay and knowledge of both. By day, Grant is currently a site supervisor for a high end remodeling company, Kitchen Kraft and Dream Baths. Grant is looking forward to passing on what he has learned throughout his athletic career. “I feel my career has started to come full circle and I look forward to an excellent Dublin Coffman Rocks season!”
