WELCOME FUTURE IRISH HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY PLAYERS!!
The Dublin High School Hockey Association understands that entering high school hockey is new to many and can be confusing. This web page is designed to help new players and their families entering into Scioto High School and any location covered by OSHL club hockey navigate promoting from youth hockey into high school hockey.
Rising Freshman
As players transition from eighth grade to freshman in high school, the world of high school hockey starts for them. We encourage all eighth graders to start getting involved and signing up to get information by directly contacting their team trustees or by going to the link in the next column if they have not already done so.
High school hockey opportunities start for rising freshman in the summer. DHSHA sponsors summer league hockey teams from June through July. This is an opportunity for rising freshman to start playing at a high school level in a non-checking 5 on 5 league. The league is run through the Chiller Ice Rinks and requires USA Hockey registration.
DHSHA also provides rising freshman the opportunity for additional ice touches by sponsoring summer skates which is a once weekly practice. These skates also occur in the months of June through July.
